Description
Starting from the ideals of a grandfather, Ang Bus is usually referred to by his grandchildren, H. Bustanil Arifin, SH, founded the AL-Izhar Pondok Labu Islamic College, on March 11, 1987. He hopes that this school will be able to produce a cadre of Islamic leaders and intellectuals with broad insight.
This ideal is supported and strengthened by education experts, including: Dr. Anggani Soedono, MA, Prof. DR. Fauzia Aswin Hadis, Henny Supolo Sitepu, MA. Together with these three education experts, Al-Izhar developed a meaningful learning model, namely a learning process that guides students to know the philosophy behind the knowledge being learned with the aim that students are trained and ultimately proficient in doing research and at the same time being creative. Besides that, Al-Izhar students are also educated to be sensitive to the environment, able to work together, and to be good leaders. In the process, the emphasis on cultivating Islamic values through mental, physical, social, emotional and spiritual aspects has also become an integral part.
