Queen Elizabeth Hospital Ambulatory Care Centre Extension

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital was opened in 1963 and is regulated by the Hong Kong Government's Department of Medical and Health. The year was at the peak of immigration from Mainland China, and the population of Hong Kong grew rapidly. After more than 30 years, the hospital developed into a major hospital in Central Kowloon and became a tertiary referral center in Hong Kong. In 1991, the Hospital Authority (Hospital Authority) was established and took over all public hospitals in Hong Kong the following year (1992). Since then, Queen Elizabeth Hospital has been jointly managed by the Hospital Authority and Queen Elizabeth Hospital Governance Committee. Introduction The Queen Elizabeth Hospital is the largest hospital under the Hospital Authority, providing various medical services to Hong Kong citizens. Located in the center of Kowloon, the hospital provides emergency diagnosis and treatment services and various specialized services 24 hours a day. At the same time, inpatient and specialist outpatient services are also established. Queen Elizabeth Hospital is also a referral center for major specialties.
