Beijing Chinese Language and Culture College

1. Brief history of the college Beijing Chinese Language and Culture College (formerly a secondary cram school for returned overseas Chinese students in Beijing) was founded in 1950. It was established under the kind care of Premier Zhou Enlai and personally presided over by famous social activists and leaders of the overseas Chinese community Ms. He Xiangning and Mr. Liao Chengzhi. The first cram school established by New China to recruit returned overseas Chinese students. The college is affiliated to the United Front Work Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. It is currently the only professional college in Mainland China that specializes in conducting Chinese education for the children of overseas Chinese.
