The practice was re-established in 1993 in the Walsum health center, which was then being set up. The aim was to offer the citizens of the north of Duisburg and in the Dinslaken area modern, specialist diagnostics and ENT therapy in a professionally networked environment. In the same building complex there is a surgical-orthopedic joint practice and a joint ophthalmological practice, an operative eye clinic and a physiotherapy practice, a speech therapy practice, a hearing aid institute, an occupational therapy practice and a psychotherapy practice. In addition to the classic range of services in ear, nose and throat medicine, the treatment of sleep-related breathing disorders and obstructed nasal breathing has been a focus of the diagnostics and therapy services from the start. As early as the 1990s, we were using laser technology and radiofrequency therapy methods (somnoplasty) to treat heavy snorers as gently as possible. Numerous media have repeatedly used the many years of competence and practical experience to report on this important topic. Regular training and further education measures are a matter of course for our entire team.
