Industrieanlagen-Betriebsgesellschaft mbH (IABG) was founded in 1961 on the initiative of the Federal Republic of Germany as a central analysis and test facility for aviation and the Ministry of Defense. IABG was privatized in 1993 and is today an owner-managed European technology company with core competencies in analysis, simulation & test and plant operation. The term “security” forms the thematic umbrella of the portfolio: functional security of newly developed high-tech products and traffic systems (safety) as well as security of the state, economy and society (security). In this context, IABG provides technical and scientific services for private and public customers in the main business areas -Automotive -InfoCom -Mobility & Energy -Environment & geodata services -aviation -Space travel -Defense & Security. IABG employs around 1,000 highly qualified employees at its headquarters in Ottobrunn and in local and international branches close to customers. IABG is group-independent and product-neutral and represents - often evaluating - exclusively the interests of its customers. The customer structure is essentially composed of well-known industrial companies (manufacturers of aerospace systems, automobiles and their suppliers) as well as important federal ministries (e.g. Federal Ministry of Defense) and various state ministries (in particular ministries of the interior).
